- According to a Senate reply (Anfrage 22-8880) quoted in August 2022 by Wandsbek CDU politician Sandro Kappe, 750,000 euros from the Stadtentwicklungsfonds “Lebendige Quartiere” of the Behoerde fuer Stadtentwicklung und Wohnen were earmarked for multi-movement areas and a quarter path in the growing Hegholt quarter. The quarter path was to run along Carl-Bremer-Ring and adjoining areas and double as a school route, while the ball court at Hegholt 24 was to become a multifunctional movement area and the playgrounds at Carl-Bremer-Ring 11, 15, 19 and 23 were to be upgraded. - The station sits on Carl-Bremer-Ring, one of the three access rings around which the buildings of the “Wachsendes Quartier am Hegholt” estate in Bramfeld are arranged, with wide green and open spaces between them. Planning documentation published by ProQuartier Hamburg in December 2022 set out a planned upgrade of these outdoor areas using funding from the Stadtentwicklungsfonds “Lebendige Quartiere”, covering renewal of the dated play areas, an added multifunctional movement area and a barrier-free quarter path with new lighting as the central axis through the estate. Wishes collected during the process included a sports pitch with exercise and fitness equipment and a climbing wall, and “creating movement facilities (basketball, table tennis, fitness)” was listed as one of four resulting priority themes.
