About Leipzig

The City of Leipzig now counts 19 municipal fitness and exercise courses across its area that are open to the public. Apart from the seniors’ course in the Dammstraße allotment gardens in Schleußig, all of them are also suitable for calisthenics. Several are in parks such as Clara-Zetkin-Park, Friedenspark, Mariannenpark and Stadtteilpark Rabet; others are on sports grounds, for example on Sasstraße and Ratzelstraße. (Source: leipzig.de)

• Leipzig's Stadtteilpark Rabet has a free, publicly accessible calisthenics and movement course opened by the city on 27 October 2017 and run by its parks and waterways office; the park is also the home of Rabet Calisthenics e.V., Leipzig's first calisthenics club, founded on 14 December 2021. • The city lists limited hours for two facilities: the one run by RB Leipzig between the Red Bull Arena and the Elsterbecken can be used from 7 am to 9 pm, and between April and September until 11 pm. The city-subsidised fitness facility on the sports grounds of the vocational training centre (Berufsbildungswerk) in Knautkleeberg-Knauthain has been freely accessible during opening hours since the end of 2024.
