- The roughly 5,400-square-metre Bürgerpark next to the Bürgerzentrum MüTZe on Berliner Straße was the first construction project of the MÜLHEIM 2020 structural funding programme; Bezirksbürgermeister Norbert Fuchs turned the first sod on 14 May 2012 and construction was scheduled to take about three months. The concept by the landscape architects Lill + Sparla removed fences and shrubs, installed fixed loungers on the lawn and added a large playground for 4- to 16-year-olds at the rear.
