Good to know
- Bezirksamt Altona scheduled a full refurbishment (Grundinstandsetzung) of Wohlers Park to run from January to September 2019, with about 768,000 euros gross funded through the Rahmenprogramm integrierte Stadtteilentwicklung and the Sonderinvestitionsprogramm Wohnungsbaufolgekosten. Planned measures included fully resurfacing the water-bound gravel path network, restoring the heavily used lawns, and relocating the toddler play area and the garden chess set into the park's rondels. - OpenStreetMap records this installation as a slackline station rather than a bar-based calisthenics rig (leisure=fitness_station, fitness_station=slackline), tagged as unlit and open around the clock. Slackline Hamburg e.V. names the Wohlerspark as one of three Hamburg locations where slackliners are frequently found, while stating that the club has no fixed meeting spot. - The station stands inside Wohlers Park, the former Friedhof Norderreihe cemetery, which was consecrated in 1831 and saw its last burial in 1945. Since 1979 the site has been under heritage protection (Denkmalschutz) and designated as a public park of roughly 4.6 hectares; dogs are not permitted. (Source: de.wikipedia.org)
