Its equipment is mounted on a signal-orange tube system and grouped island-like into six training areas — pull-up bars, rungs, dip bars and traverse ladders plus a balance beam, a punching bag and a rope station — on a joint-friendly synthetic surface with exercise info boards. It was designed by Berlin landscape architecture office ANNABAU and planned by Bielefeld's Sportamt with expertise from the German Calisthenics and Streetlifting Federation. It forms part of the 'Neue Mitte Baumheide' scheme within the INSEK Baumheide urban development concept adopted by the city council in 2017, whose measures total around 27 million euros.
