Good to know
- The fitness area lies on a public sports ground that OpenStreetMap records as a sports centre of the city of Leipzig, sports office, with free use. The area itself is marked there as lit, so training is possible after dark as well; access counts as permissive. The same grounds hold a basketball and a volleyball court, a running track, a long-jump facility, two shot-put circles and climbing rocks. (Source: openstreetmap.org)
- The Fitness-HotSpot opened on 12 July 2019 as a new component of the public Sportplatzanlage Ratzelstraße in Grünau; the city of Leipzig initiated it together with Barmer and the Deutscher Turner-Bund. It was created immediately next to the K4 climbing rock and is the first Fitness-HotSpot in Saxony. The equipment comes from the Playparc company. Across just under 200 square metres, mounted boards explain the training sequence with jumping, support and hanging techniques. (Source: leipzig.de)
