- In 2025 the city building department (parks division) rebuilt the sports stations on the eastern edge of the Theresienwiese at the request of the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district committee: the three existing table-tennis tables were refurbished and part of the former play stations was turned into a fitness trail. Equipment for strength and endurance training, a calisthenics facility and a slackline were added. For older visitors an upper-body ergometer, a floating platform and two leg movers were installed as well. Every station can be reached without a step, and the site suits beginners just as much as practised recreational athletes. The municipal playground register lists the site as Bavariaring, Sportstationen with the offerings fitness trail and table tennis. (Source: ru.muenchen.de)
