It was built by the Steel Warriors charity, which takes knives seized and surrendered on London's streets, melts them down and recycles the steel into free outdoor calisthenics gyms. Haringey Council's Park Management Plan lists the installation at an approximate cost of £75,000, funded entirely by Steel Warriors, with priority 'High' and status 'Completed'.
