Good to know
- The city of Krefeld built the exercise course in Stadtpark Fischeln as a calisthenics facility with several devices for strength and coordination; the idea came from three Fischeln clubs, which raised donations for the equipment. The project cost 22,000 euros, of which the state of North Rhine-Westphalia contributed 12,023 euros from its Moderne Sportstätte 2022 programme, which explicitly funds outdoor fitness facilities. OpenStreetMap records the area as lit and freely accessible, and as only partly suitable for wheelchair users; a balance beam is mapped there separately. (Source: krefeld.de)
