- The calisthenics facility at the Schulzentrum on Karl-Hubbuch-Weg was inaugurated a few days before 21 July 2023. Credit for it goes to the Gartenbauamt, to Neureut's own building and gardening office, to the Neureut Ortschaftsrat and to the Karlsruhe calisthenics community; at the opening, community member Alex Maar demonstrated what the equipment can be used for. - The site is unlit, and it is to stay that way for now. In spring 2026 the Neureut local administration examined lighting it through the winter and obtained rough quotes: the electrical installation and materials alone would cost around 20,000 euros, without groundworks. The parks department objected that lighting would change the type of use and require a fresh noise assessment, because homes in a purely residential area stand about 30 metres to the west and the existing belt of shrubs offers no acoustic screening.
