- The site is one of only two public leisure facilities in Karlsruhe with lighting — the city otherwise leaves its public sports and leisure grounds unlit. The lighting was installed in autumn 2022 and first used through the winter of 2022/23; the council report set aside 25,000 euros for it. Under the usage times laid down by the city, the lit facility may not be used on weekdays after 8 pm nor on Sundays and public holidays. In its 2023 review the city recorded use even on very cold winter evenings and no complaints from neighbours, noting that calisthenics is practised without noise, and decided against lighting any further sites.
