This fitness station is the Bewegungsinsel created in the second construction phase of the Grünanlage Pehmoellers Garten, completed in mid-May 2024; the redesign also produced a better pedestrian link between Papenreye, Borsteler Chaussee and Borsteler Bogen. The installed kit is the standard 'Aktive City Hamburg' set - pull-up and high bars, parallel bars and a device for sit-ups, push-ups and back-strengthening exercises - suitable for different body heights, barrier-free and usable from a wheelchair. The second construction phase was inaugurated on 21 June 2024 with a parkour programme by SV Groß Borstel, a calisthenics show by the Hamburg club Cali X and a joint training session.
