Conzen opened on Tuesday, 3 September 2019. The conversion cost around 612,000 euros, 60 percent of which was covered by federal and state urban development funds (Städtebauförderung) with the city paying the rest. On opening day the local club AGON 08 and experienced trainers gave introductions to parkour, boule and Panna-KO, and from 7 September 2019 the Sportamt offered free parkour workshops.
