- The formerly gravel-covered area at Frauensteiner Platz, previously blocked off by a large gate, was redeveloped into a green play and recreation ground that the city opened on Friday, 5 June 2026, built by GLF Garten- und Landschaftsbau Dresden GmbH from Moritzburg to a design by landscape architect Matthias Mohring. Planning and construction cost around 260,000 euros, of which 70 percent came from Free State of Saxony and European Union funds via the EFRE-co-financed 'Nachhaltige integrierte Stadtentwicklung' (NiSE) programme for the Fördergebiet 'Altgruna' 2021-2027.
