Calisthenics-Anlage Brentano-Anlage
Train at Calisthenics-Anlage Brentano-Anlage, an open-air calisthenics park in Darmstadt.
Good to know
- Mayor Barbara Akdeniz and city councillor Michael Kolmer opened the facility on 24 November 2023 in the Brentano-Anlage in Kranichstein. It holds five training devices on which exercises can be done with their own body weight regardless of individual fitness level; the core of such sites is usually metal bars at various heights and positions. The project goes back to a wish by young people from Kranichstein to fit out the surroundings of the Chillmo youth café and the Brentano-Anlage with equipment for self-guided training. In the course of the work the existing table-tennis tables were moved and three extra benches added. It was financed through the federal and state programme Soziale Stadt Darmstadt Kranichstein with funds from the federal government, the state of Hesse and the city of Darmstadt.
