- The training area lies in the roughly 5,300 square metre "Blockspitze" green space at Skalitzer Straße corner Oranienstraße and Audre-Lorde-Straße (formerly Manteuffelstraße), originally laid out in the 1990s and redesigned from December 2021 in two construction stages, the western one opened in March 2023 and the second completed in April 2024. Both stages together cost around two million euros from the funding programme "Lebendige Zentren und Quartiere" of the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing. - The Blockspitze design goes back to a two-stage competition announced by the Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in 2018 and won by Henningsen Landschaftsarchitekten. The scheme created an urban square for meeting, staying and movement, a barrier-free connection between Skalitzer Straße and Oranienstraße, planted areas screening the neighbouring plots and infiltration troughs draining the paved surfaces; more than 150 residents of all age groups took part in the participation events.
