- Both stations stand in the Seelgrabenpark in Marzahn. Its western part between Köthener Straße and Ahrensfelder Chaussee was extensively redesigned up to 2007 with 644,500 euros of funding from the Soziale Stadt programme (2004 to 2007), about 125,000 euros of district own funds and additional Stadtumbau Ost money, and was handed over to the public on 30 July 2008; the work created, among other things, the activity area on Dessauer Straße with a volleyball court and various fitness machines. - The design of the western Seelgrabenpark section originated as a project study by the landscape planning course at the TU Berlin. Artistically designed blossoms mark the entrances at Köthener Straße and Ahrensfelder Chaussee, a seating sculpture made of many small mosaics called "Echinacea" stands at the park entrance, one stretch of the new footpath is lined by 52 oaks, and small biotopes with native plants and animals formed on the protected site next to the adjoining adventure playground.
