- This station stands in the Volkspark Rehberge, a roughly 78-hectare park in Wedding laid out between 1922 and 1929 whose construction employed up to 1,200 unemployed people under emergency job-creation programmes and which was officially opened with a public festival on 22 June 1929; it was redesigned to plans by the horticultural directors Rudolf Germer and Erwin Barth after earlier concepts by Albert Brodersen.
