- Since 2016 the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan has installed specialised street workout grounds across the country on the initiative of its president, Timur Kulibayev. By June 2018 the committee reported more than 50 of them, in cities including Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Karaganda, Aktobe and Kokshetau.
